The theme for the day was climb! Today began with the final pack-down before we headed out on the trail. We were then transported out to the start of the trail by two super-jeeps that pulled our gear on a trailer. Then we were own on our. And the climbing began. We scaled at least 2000 feet in elevation today, and had to work closely together as a team as the terrain was steep and our pulks were heavy. After climbing for nearly 8 hours, we’ve made camp for the night, and have been kept busy melting snow for water, cooking dinner, and reviewing and editing photos for the daily update. Our treat for a hard day’s work was an absolutely mind-blowing display of northern lights. The team’s spirits are high and we look forward to climbing into our sleeping bags soon.
